Last week was National Week of Deaf People. On Sunday, the Redrawn team gathered for a family picnic hosted by the Butterflyeffect. Set amongst the pretty backdrop of the Happy Valley Reservoir we learnt some more Auslan signs and showed our support for:
– Sign language in education
– Sustainable economic opportunities for deaf people
– Health for all
– Safeguarding deaf people in times of crisis
– Sign language uniting us
– Intersectional deaf communities
– Deaf leadership for tomorrow
The kids had a blast and we all enjoyed getting to know each other better.
